Our Thursday June 18th Hometown Hero is Tiffany Harris of Nicholasville. Tiffany is a nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, and was nominated by her sister, Alicia. Alicia says, “Tiffany is not only a hero as a nurse , but also a single mother of two and foster mother of 3 children. She works hard as nurse in our community facing life threatening illnesses and risks her own life to help save others daily without a second thought. She has expressed to me how recent events of covid have made her afraid that she may “pass the illness” to her family. She is among many who have to change their clothes before they can hug their children after a long stressful day at work. Although heart breaking, Tiffany refuses to give up. She has always been a fighter and she deserves absolute recognition for the awesome person she is and the massive heart she pours back into our world.
