Our Friday, June 19th Hometown Hero is Josiah Barkdoll. Josiah, originally from Cincinnati, came to Lexington to attend the University of Kentucky. He is now entering into his senior year as a social work major. Josiah was nominated by his co-worker, Traci. Traci says, “Josiah works at the Lantern at Morning Point, an Alzheimer facility, as a resident assistant and has done so with joy, ease of spirit, humbleness and integrity. He hasn’t let the restrictions of covid 19 affect how he cares for this forgotten population in such a time of isolation and confusion. He is a true hero.
