Double header Dunbar vs Scott County


The Bulldogs gave the Cardinals all they could handle but Scott County swept Dunbar in this regular season finale doubleheader. Also, on this night a bit of history. With the Scott County Boys victory, coach Billy Hicks offically become the winningest coach all time in high school basketball with win number 857. Congrats to coach Hicks!

In District 42 Henry Clay sits at #1, while Tates Creek remains winless on the season and at the bottom of the 43rd district. The District tournaments start shortly and both teams have very different goals. No matter the outcome, this game will always mean something big to senior Mckenna Cummins, as this was her last game on her home floor of Tates Creek.

In front a packed house at Lafayette we witnessed #1 Trinity being defeated by #3 Scott County, followed by Lexington Catholic coming from behind to take down #10 Lafayette on their home floor in the closing seconds. What made the Jock Sutherland Classicspecial, were the fans in attendance.

East Jessamine swept Rockcastle County for the doubleheader. The night cap was a back and forth contest in girls basketball. Emma Young had 22 points and Bereshia Gill had 19 points.
