Riddle returns to the bluegrass

Happy Monday to you all! After the extended holiday weekend it was very hard to pick my face up from my pillow this morning, but hey work calls.

Today's blog follows up with a headline and 3 part event that happened this past week.  HIs name is a very familiar one we we both went to the same high school and both call Frankfort home.  His name, you might recognize....JT Riddle.

He was selected as the 13th pick in the 2013 MLB Draft by the Miami Marlins, going No. 382 overall.  He currently plays for the Greensborough Grasshoppers, a class A Farm Team for the Marlins.  This past week he completed a 3 game series facing the Lexington Legends.

Listen to the attached audio to hear an exclusive interview with JT during the second game of the 3 part series. I didn't take a selfie with him, as we are good friends.  JT's step dad, Buddy Ritchie is also the head coach of the girl's basketball program at Western Hills, where JT and myself both help coach.  It was an honor and delight to watch him play this week.  I am so excited that he is living his dream and the dream of thousands of young boys.

That's all for today. Have a great week!
