Miller & Lofton Basketball Camp

In continuation with our show this past Sunday, my feature guest in this blog is Chris Lofton!  I not only got the opportunity to chat with him in studio on Sunday, but yesterday I ventured to Maysville to visit the basketball camp him and Darius Miller held at the Boys and Girls club.  It was a pleasure to have been invited to the camp, and as an intern currently at WKYT I was excited and eager to take the trip.

The camp held 2 sessions, morning from 8-1, and afternoon from 1-4.  I went to the afternoon session and was immediately approached by Chris, asking me how I was doing.  He was such a nice guy to have in studio, but in his element on the basketball court he's surprisingly that same person.  The celebrity status you would think a person with his history and success would have is just absent.  He is actually a normal guy who like myself, simply loves the game of basketball.

This was only the second year of the camp and as expected was a huge success.  They had approximately 150 campers in both sessions and the kids enjoyed the company of towering heroes, Darius Miller and Chris Lofton.   I was honored to be there and witness the joy this camp brought to so many children.

Take a look at my pictures and of course the selfie I had to get with Chris! He was more than happy to let me get one with him! Have a great week!
