Joker Phillips saga in Florida #BBN

It's a head scratcher on why still the interest in Joker Phillips. Yes, he's a former coach. Yes, he's a former player. But, it seems like Joker is just the butt of a joke now and days. (No pun intended) For whatever reason, BBN still talks about and has interest in Joker.

Now it looks like Joker has fallen on hard times. Yesterday, Florida announced Joker was leaving the program for "personal reasons". This came out of no where and when I initially heard it, my first thoughts was "writing on the wall?" Shortly after the news, NBC Sports reported it was due to possible recruiting violations. RED FLAGS SALUTE!

I'm sure more will come out in the coming days on Phillips departure, but if the allegations are true, then this could be a kiss of death for Joker. He's notorious for being a stand up guy and a great recruiter. These allegations stain his reputation on both prestige badges in the coaching profession. Take a look at this article on College Spun to come up with your own conclusion.

I wish Joker the best and hope it was really "personal reasons", not possible violations.
